Why do you need to send us documents?

Because we here at UK Legal Number Plates Ltd are a DVLA Registered Number Plate Supplier, it is a legal requirement to request documentation that proves your identity and authorisation to use the registration number.

What documentation do I need to send?

  • One form of identification
  • One proof of ownership of the registration number.

What forms of ID can I send?

  • Driving License (including Provisional)
  • Passport
  • Utility Bill

All of the ID and Reference Numbers must be visible for us to accept your documentation.

What proof of ownership do I need to send?

  • V5C
  • V750
  • V778
  • V11 Tax Reminder

The reference number for V778 and V750 can sometimes be found on the middle pages or reverse page.

Please ensure the reference number is clearly visible when sending us your documentation as we won't be able to accept documentation without it.

Please send copies of these documents once your have placed your Number Plate order.

We cannot in any circumstance dispatch your number plates until these documents have been received.

Can I cancel my order?

Once your have placed your number plate order you have 30 minutes to cancel your order. If you try to cancel your order after this time, it will not be refunded.

This is because out number plates are produced quickly and will contain your registration which is bespoke to you and cannot be offered for resale.

Please only place your orders if you are sure you wish to receive them.
